During a Stress Management workshop you will learn practical tools to cope with daily stresses. Chronic Stress is the major cause of a global epidemic of depressive illnesses and with Heart Disease are considered to be the major health issues of the 21st century. Both are stress-related illnesses

You are invited to explore the teachings of Mystical Principles combined with the essentials of Family Constellations to expand your understanding of the nature of transformation, access deeper healing and practice subtle competencies.

This workshop will apply Mystical Principles with the main revelations of Bert Hellinger's “Orders of Love” as a path of awakening into wholeness. Hellinger's “Orders of Love” explains that in order to become we need to belong. We will explore this in ourselves, in our families and in our lives.

Participants will have an opportunity to explore family dynamics, transgenerational family patterns, intimate relationships, illness and health and our relationship with the world.

About Diana:

Diana 4 small

Diana Martinez Morales is a psychotherapist with 14 years of experience working with individuals and groups. She has trained in multiple transformational disciplines including Gestalt group work, Family Constellations, studying directly with Bert Hellenger, Somatic body/mind work and Craniosacral & Body therapy based on the method developed by Francoise Mezieres.

Diana holds a BA in International Relations, an MA in Humanities and a PhD in Philosophy and Ethics. She has studied Zen Meditation with Roshi Kiunan Ana Maria Schlüter for the past 17 years and actively practices Zazen. For the past five years, Diana has been working with Thomas Hübl, a contemporary spiritual teacher. She has studied with Bert Hellinger for 10 years.

Diana is a pioneer in the integration of Mystical Principles with Family Constellations as a means for deep personal and collective transformation.

Bert Hellinger is a German psychotherapist and the founder of the Family Constellations work. He realised that many of us take on family patterns which can generate various tendencies and symptoms such as lack of confidence, anxiety, guilt, anger, alcoholism or addictions, and even illnesses, as a way to unconsciously trying to belong to our family. Our family system is based on deep bonds and often as a child we sacrifice our own best interests to help heal family pains or traumas.

This workshop led by Diana is deeply inspiring and transformative. I have myself seen friends struggling with deep personal issues finally find a healing shift after Diana's workshop, a shift which was tangible and lasting. I cannot say enough about Diana, her dedication and healing skills are outstanding. I invited her to come to Ottawa, having experienced her gifts and skills directly and believing in this modality, seeing it as essential for us to heal as individuals and as a community. During this workshop, you will receive benefits whether you participate directly to the family constellations or simply observe. Diana has studied and practised meditation for over 17 years, she has studied closely with inspiring contemporary teachers such as Thomas Hübl, and her work is a combination of insightful mystical principles and a sound academic background. There will be grounding exercises, and guided meditations daily, which will be recorded and emailed to you after the workshop is over. It is an event that is unique and that I highly recommend!

Interview with Diana Martinez
Psychotherapist, Constellation Facilitator

Diana Martinez Morales, Ph.D. is coming back to Ottawa for the third time, offering a Transformational Family Constellations workshop. I used this opportunity to ask her a few questions.

Lynne: Diana, can you tell us about your upcoming workshop: The Power of Transformation and Healing through Family Constellations? How does it work?

Diana: Through the workshop, my work supports and brings greater awareness; it broadens the perspective of your life. It's not only about you and your symptoms, as everything that happens to us has an intrinsic connection with our family and our origins. We are interrelated and influenced in our lives by our own family and by our trans-generational systems. So, we need to see the deeper connections and entanglements that we hold in us. The Constellations heighten our consciousness into new ways of evolving in our paths. The awareness that arises helps us evolve and shift into a broader, freer perspective. We also learn to connect with our physical, emotional, and mental bodies. We need to integrate those three levels with more consciousness so that we can broaden our possibilities.

Lynne: Can you explain what happens when we connect with our physical, emotional, and mental bodies?

Diana: A creative part in us, called the soul level, opens. From there we feel much more connected with our family and to the Divine.

Lynne: Would you say that by connecting with this deeper part of us, we can see and come to understand that we have a bond with our family and ancestors and that this bond drives and influences us? Is that what we call destiny?

Diana: It's only destiny when there is unhealed trauma. What is there but is not seen influences us. We identify with our tendencies and our family patterns knowingly or not because we need to belong. Yet if you see your place in the family system, if you own your history, where you come from with a grounded foundation or base, it allows you to stand more and more in your potential because you already belong.

Lynne: So, the influence of our parents and ancestors is already alive in us. Would you say that if, for example, someone’s father goes to war and becomes traumatized, this could propel his child to also go to war, or to be drawn to aggression or violence?

Diana: Of course, it propels us because it is unresolved energy; it is frozen, a trauma, and nobody has embodied it. A trauma is an experience that was too much for one's system to host or digest. A war is overwhelming and impossible to digest. A person has to numb themselves and this energy is frozen, but it is still there. Life wants to evolve and continue. The next generation will try unconsciously to resolve what hasn't been resolved by our parents and grand-parents. If we have the humility to honour all that they went through, this happens when we look at it, host it in our hearts.  

Lynne: If I can be humble and honour this trauma, are you saying that it would heal me?

Diana: Yes, and that's the way in which you include all of this in your heart. In a system or a family, when there's someone willing to host or see, there's a potential for healing. You can include it in your three bodies. You allow your higher consciousness, the part of you that is always witnessing, to embrace this. Also, with humility you know you still keep your place as a daughter or son. Don't lose your place. If it's really witnessed, it is what is needed. But often it needs outer support. In constellation work, you are a group of people willing to open your hearts to host the systems of your families. This is a collective methodology of healing. It is specific but also universal. Everyone has parents, and everyone has suffered themselves.

COMMUNICATION

We sense the potential in every communication we have. The truth is despite our best efforts we are often unable to fully rise to this potential. To be able to truly explore this competency in communication we need to practice it in order to handle its beauty and complexity. It also requires a level of energetic balance and presence that also needs to be cultivated. But this practise in awareness makes life rich, exciting and opens us to greater life experience. We can then express more tenderly, or clearly, in a more fulfilling way. Sometimes an authentic communication is about speaking up. Sometimes it is about listening. Sometimes it is about learning to sense our own fears and reactions. And it is all part of this wonderful path of living with awareness and presence. Learning to communicate in this way has changed my life and many of my clients are saying the same.

A client said to me that she noticed that she sometimes leaves a conversation feeling slightly unhinged, and that she lets this feeling slip as she has a busy schedule ahead or she simply doesn't know what to do about it. However, she sensed that she could deal with those situations in a much more fulfilling way. This for me is a driving force, to access this potential, to address it with clarity and compassion, to grow, to shift to a greater awareness, and to a much more fulfilling life. In the last many years I have studied the art of communication. It is based on the ability to listen deeply and stay connected to our heart. I believe that the heart is often smarter than our brain. When we listen with our heart, when we learn to stay present, we can truly experience a shift in the way we communicate and enjoy a much more satisfying life.

Lynne Cardinal has studied extensively with Thomas Hübl on Transparent Communication and Principles of Transformation and she trained with Diane Hamilton in Conflict Resolution. Lynne has offered Communication skills, Stress Management, Resilience and Burnout Prevention workshops in the government and private sectors for over 30 years She is also a Consulting Hypnotist with the National Guild of Hypnotists, holding additional certifications in Hypnosis Innovative Techniques and Weight Loss. She is certified by Dr. Weiss in Past-Life Regression and she has a PhD in Eastern Philosophy from India.
